Who I am
I work in the liminal space where conventional beauty meets the elemental power of nature. Through my signature series "Flora. Fauna. Femme.", I question the boundaries between feminine fragility and natural force, creating hybrid beings that challenge our comfort with traditional beauty standards.
Working primarily with AI-generated imagery that I enhance through extensive digital manipulation, I transform the familiar into the uncanny. My subjects—adorned with insect wings, emerging flora, and modified eyes that seem to hide inner worlds—embody the contradiction between attraction and repulsion. These are not peaceful nature scenes, but encounters with nature's raw, transformative power.
The recurring motif of altered eyes in my work serves as windows to hidden selves, reflecting my exploration of identity in an age where the boundaries between human and artificial, natural and constructed, are increasingly blurred. I invite viewers to confront their own discomfort with the non-conforming, to find beauty in what initially repels, and to recognize themselves as part of nature's complex, often unsettling ecosystem.
Drawing from thirteen years of professional retouching experience, I push beyond typical AI-generated outputs, spending hours modifying each piece through traditional digital art techniques. This hybrid approach allows me to create works that bridge the gap between algorithmic generation and human artistic intention—questioning not just what we consider beautiful, but what we consider real.
How I create
Every piece begins with an idea—a concept that demands exploration through different styles and approaches until I find the visual language it deserves.
Collection Philosophy
My collections follow two distinct paths:
Character variations within a theme - Exploring different subjects unified by a single concept.
Associative dreamscapes - sets of images connected by style and mood rather than literal subject matter. These feel more like dreams or hallucinations, where logic gives way to emotional resonance.
Building My Visual Library
I never use "in the style of" prompts. Instead, I create my own references from scratch—characters, styles, textures, moods. Over time, this has built into a comprehensive visual library that I can mix and match within each concept. This approach gives me complete control over the aesthetic direction and ensures my work remains distinctly mine, even when working with AI.
The Post-production Phase
AI generation is just the beginning. Some magic happens in post-production, where thirteen years of retouching experience comes into play. I work with:
- Visual effects and atmosphere
- Background reconstruction and enhancement
- Color grading and mood refinement
- Various details of the image
This combination of AI generation and targeted post-processing creates something neither tool could achieve alone. It's not about spending hours perfecting every detail—it's about knowing exactly which adjustments will transform a good AI output into something uniquely mine.
